Prom Night
Just Listen to the description:
Donna's
senior prom is supposed to be the best night of her life, one of magic,
beauty, and love. Surrounded by her best friends, she should be safe
from the horrors of her past. But when the night turns from magic to
murder there is only one man who could be responsible, the man she
thought was gone forever. Now, Donna and her friends must find a way to
escape the sadistic rampage of an obsessed killer , and survive their Prom Night.
A movie where a whole bunch a teens are killed on their prom night. Does this sound familiar to anyone:
Carrie
Prom Night - Original 1980
Hello Mary Lou: Prom Night II (1987)
Prom Night III: The Last Kiss (1990)
Prom Night IV: Deliver Us from Evil (1992)
Yes, we get it. Its good clean all American fun to watch stupid, ill prepared kids get slaughtered by a madman, more so when you put them in confining formal wear and high heels that make it hard to run, but when you’re remaking an 80’s b-movie slasher, that already has 3 other copycats of its own, you need to pull out the big book of plots, and find something else to do. Honestly, this is just sad.
Not to mention, how does one lock all the doors of a hotel at once? What kind of an inept police force wouldn’t tell her that the psycho killer who was obsessed with her was loose, say the day it happened? And how dumb is this girl? We learn in the trailer that the “horror of her past” is that this man killed her whole family. Gee, just a normal girl, having a normal prom, who wouldn’t have any reason to suspect a serial killer was after her - except he killed her whole family.
And now, to punish you all…. The trailer.
