Let’s be honest, when Arnold Alois Schwarzenegger got elected I thought it was some kind of absurd joke. I mean that guy killed 400 people in Commando, with the whole world watching! Are we just going to let him get away with that on the premise alone that it looked extremely muscular, I mean cool. “Let off some steam Bennett!”
Anyway, when he did become “The Govenator” of California, I think it was fair to say that green issues were not his number one priority. However, recently he has changed tactics and has jumped on board the delicious green train of exuberance. Last year sometime (I can’t remember exactly when, and I’m too lazy to look) he passed a bill that states green house gas emission will be cut by 25% by the year 2020. Also he says that he will beat the crap out of anyone who tries to start up the drills of the offshore rigs on the California coast. In addition to this he looks at the issue of global warming as a challenge more than a problem, and he is focused on the solution; and strangely enough, he does actually listen to those “paranoid” scientists. All I can say is good man Arnie! Welcome on board you crazy Austrian gigantic freak (said quietly with mumbles and a fade out).
