Genie Francis is Returning to General Hospital

No matter which daytime soap you watched in the past, no one captured viewers' hearts like Luke and Laura from General Hospital. Over the years, the two went their separate ways. Luke has remained on the show while Laura has been in an institution. Laura Spencer is played by Genie Francis and she is coming back. Since she has been gone, Luke has remarried and Lulu, her daughter, is all grown up. Lulu has been institutionalized in the same place that her mother is. She has been slowly waking up but never did notify the family to let them know in fear of disappointing them if she went back into a sleep.

General Hospital is not the only place you can see Genie. Over the years Genie Francis has played in several television shows as well as movies. Her acting career dates back as far as the 1970’s. You may have remembered her on The Incredible Hulk where she played Betty Ross in 1996-1997. Genie also played in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman in 1995 as Amber Lake. In 2004 she played in Thunderbirds as Lisa Lowe. She played with such actors and actresses as Brady Corbet, Demetri Goritsas, and Philip Winchester.

Genie Francis’ character will spend the next few weeks taking care of her daughter who is also in an institution. She will provide comfort and understanding to her little girl who needs her mother now more than ever. It’s undecided how long Laura Spencer will be on General Hospital, but fans all around the world can only guess and hope that she stays. Laura Spencer was first seen on August 25th, 2008 and can be found on ABC’s General Hospital.
